The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were inaccessible by standard jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both production and effectiveness.
