Genie Knuckle boom lifts are strong four wheel drive and four wheel steering capable equipment that allow work to be done effectively, even when the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system that enables the user to easily calibrate the machine and its parts. System diagnostics are available in many languages. There are dual fuel options available on the Z-80/60 unit. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is turbocharged, but quiet. It allows for enhanced performance at higher altitudes. Additionally, it carries more than enough torque for better terrain- and grade-ability.
The full-time positive traction and 4-wheel drive ability adds improved traction for tough terrain. The Z-135/70 just offers four-wheel steering. Optional features on this unit comprise coordinated, crab, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the machine added agility. The full-time active oscillating axle helps improve wheel contact on uneven ground. All of these features make Genie Knuckle Boom lifts smoother and easier to operate on uneven terrain.
Genie's engine-powered articulating Z-booms are larger compared to any other Genie units. They feature a continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs which are designed to give the user a much better reach and range of motion. The Z-boom design gives the units exceptional over and up positioning capability which varies from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 unit to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 model. The XChassis expanding axle is an innovatively designed device utilized for both extending and retracting axles out and in of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is only 2.46 meters if the axle is stowed. The Z-80/60 has fixed width axles for easier transport.
