The narrow aisle forklift has been manufactured to work in narrow storage spaces by increasing the ratio between the space and the aisle width. Yale produces the single reach NR and double reach NDR units that are used for aisle widths between eight and ten feet. The Yale Narrow Aisle trucks offer a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment which has different control handle and stance configurations and utilize best-in-class ergonomics.
NDR & NR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To meet a wider variety of operations, there are many control handle configurations like the aft stance, the choice of fore, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: This technology offers powerful deceleration and acceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been manufactured for quick plugging in order to facilitate more responsive directional changes which combine to increase the amount of cargo moved in a shift.
Reach & Mast Assembly: The mast reach assembly consists of tapered roller and trunion mounting bearings. This increases the mast rigidity and durability; along with the reach assembly carriage that are reinforced for long life as well as the gusseted rear frame weldment.
Power Lowering: Yale offers industry leading lowering speeds and these uploaded speeds really enhance the overall throughput and productivity.
Regenerative Lowering: Though regenerative lowering can reduce battery changes per shift it also functions to maintain a lower oil operating temperature.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and hence greatly reduces energy. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the steer effort is actually technician adjustable in order to reduce operator fatigue. During the start-up process, drive tire centers start automatically.
Order Selectors: The very narrow aisle trucks and the narrow aisle trucks are also known as order pickers. These equipment are made for the manual handling of racked loads that are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors elevate both the load and the operator to its required height. This height could be in excess of 30 feet. Similar with most turret trucks they are usually guided by wire or rail when utilized in very narrow aisle applications.
