Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual utilizing it to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is required.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is meant to hoist employees is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
